Simple Valance Does the Trick

This is a good example of what the addition of a bit of fabric can do to finish a room. It softens the entire space, frames the window, makes it look bigger and reduces the attention-grabbing contrast of the white white trim against the caramel-colored walls.

Make the Window Look a LOT Bigger

Two panels from Sears. The room opened up, it doesn't look quite so 'squished' and the window looks a lot bigger even with the sides being partly covered by the panels.

Mount Ida Hall

Clare and Rob Fensom are doing an amazing thing at Harmonius Homestead and ewe including moving and refurbishing Mount Ida Hall. The windows had been boarded over - for years. Clare and Rob chose this plaid fabric for the blackout drapes - very much in keeping with the feel and style of the hall. It's a really warm room. ( And available to rent...)
